Each time, her neat and fearless wordings expand the scope of "permitted" in a society that has already been crushed by the fear and political self-censorship, dictated by this fear. And after her, many hitherto silent "oppositions" begin to criticize boldly the governor, premier and president. Repeatedly, Svetlana Peunova took part in the different election campaigns in deputy of Russian State Duma, Samara Regional Duma, on post of a Head of the city of Togliatti and Samara. The first steps of Svetlana Peunova in politics brought the results that seemed absolutely unreal for “inveterate” experts. She took up third places, while she was probably the only one candidate, who did not use dirty elective technologies. Independent surveys during the election campaign shown the leading position of Svetlana Peunova, while everybody knows which ways the win of “right” people is being reached. Since that time, an authority prefers not to risk anymore, and take Peunova away from election as early as on the registration stage. In the election of the mayor of Togliatti in 2008, the electoral commission found a fault with a form of one of the documents. But, during analyzing of this situation in the court, the required paper “surprisingly” disappeared from the file.

The election of the mayor of Samara in 2010 caused a sensation all over the Russia by its scandalousness and unscrupulousness. First they tried to pass Svetlana Peunova and some other self-promoted candidates over because of the presence of “non-statutory” stamp in their passports, but it turned out that half of the population of Russia owes such “spoiled” passports. The next "trump card" of the city electoral commission was the lack of a line of convictions on the subscription list that you don’t have to fill out if you have no previous convictions. And, as an additional precaution, “experts” from the city electoral commission recognized the “required” percentage of people’s signatures in support of Svetlana’s Peunova nomination unreliable. The city electoral commission was not surprised even when people, blamed for “fake” signatures, came to electoral commission and confirmed the authenticity of their signatures. The trials on the results of this election are still continuing. And Svetlana Peunova, in accordance with her method, can benefit from any situation. 35 thousand citizens of Samara, who supported the nomination of Peunova in mayor, not by hearsay familiarized with outrageous breach of all limits by today’s political system. And it is a valuable contribution to the main business of life of Svetlana Peunova which is an awakening of Russian people from fatal anabiosis, indifference and apathy.
